About the Workshop

This workshop is taught by Dr. Ginger Garner PT, DPT, ATC/L.

Is it Back Pain or My Hip? Demystifying the Sacroiliac Joint Connection

Do you have:

  • Low back or sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain (pain in the lower low back and gluteal and/or tailbone) area)
  • Buttock or pelvic floor aching or pain
  • Thicker or more “congested” knotted feeling in your gluts, hamstrings, and low back muscles
  • SIJ or back pain when you do yoga or other similarly "bendy" activities

If you answered yes to any of the above, this workshop is for you!

What

This 67 minute integrative workshop with veteran orthopedic and pelvic physical therapist and creator and author of Medical Therapeutic Yoga, Dr. Ginger Garner, will teach you how to identify the red flag symptoms that can increase sacroiliac joint pain or make your low back pain recovery stall or go backwards. There are a multitude of “stretches” and “exercises” out there when it comes to the low back and sacroiliac joint. But, do you know when to stretch and when not to stretch the low back and piriformis, or any muscle around the sacroiliac joint?

When

This workshop is self-paced and available on-demand. It will be available for you to watch 3 months after purchase. An optional LIVE 15 minute Q&A with Dr. Garner, takes place weekly on the invitation only FB Hip Labral Injury & Impingement PT Group. Please stay tuned to this group for regular live Q&A's with Dr. Garner. Please make SURE to join this group to participate!

You Will Learn:

  • The red flags signs and symptoms which would make stretching around the low back and SIJ do more harm than good

  • The key foundations for successful management of low back and SIJ pain

  • Key elements for calming related muscles that tend to overfire when the SIJ is involved with low back pain

  • How to get back to the activities you love

  • How to make yoga postures fit your low back and SIJ
