Is Psoas Speaking Creating Your Hip Pain? How to Tell & What to Consider

Note: The replay of this workshop course will be available to you for 3 months after purchase.

On the heels of the Snarky Psoas workshop, which is a wonderful compliment to this course, comes the Psoas Speaking workshop, which is all about learning how to identify and tame snarky hip flexors and related muscles that can cause hip pain.

This 60+ minute workshop is for anyone with hip or back pain, labral tears, hip impingement, or people facing or recovering from hip arthroscopy. It is especially helpful if you have had a hip arthoscopy and aren’t back to where you want to be yet, and you feel like the hip flexors could be part of the problem. You will learn how to identify the multiple variables which drive hip flexor pain, and what to do.

What does “psoas speaking” mean? It means the psoas is essentially firing (or feels like it is) all the time, is always tight, or causing a pain that feels like it radiates up into your abs, low back, and down into the upper thigh. It can be worse with prolonged sitting, driving, or standing, but even walking can aggravate it, because it never feels like the muscle relaxes. If this sounds familiar, then this workshop is for you.

This workshop is self-paced and available on-demand. It will be available for you to watch 3 months after purchase. An optional LIVE 15 minute Q&A with Dr. Garner, takes place weekly on the invitation only FB Hip Labral Injury & Impingement PT Group. Please stay tuned to this group for regular live Q&A's with Dr. Garner. Please make SURE to join this group to participate!

You Will Learn

  • How to know if the psoas is “speaking," how it causes pain, and what can help
  • How to sort through pain drivers that could be coming from the neck and shoulder area
  • How to handle myofascial restriction as a pain driver
  • Variables which influence regaining your core and hip strength, for example, how the shoulder can influence core stability if you can’t move your hip well
  • Sleep positions for optimizing hip relaxation

You will also get a curated Bonus Handout. This will come AFTER the workshop, so we can field your questions and curate the best handout for you.
